Finally I've started the process for my dissertation. By 28th August I have to have finished, though the recommendation is that I aim for a month earlier.
It's expected to be 600 hours work.
Recently I bought myself a 12" G4 iBook (with the missing pay from my previous employer which they only coughed up after I didn't hand back their laptop). I got a dinky little mouse to use with it, as the trackpad is ok for a little while. 
Apart from being a little noisy on the clicking and some user error on waking it up I'm impressed. So along with my iBook, I love the whole thing.
Also I've been noticing I get a lot of email spam directed at Albert. I have never known an Albert. Why Albert though? Who cares? :)
