A brief recap. My mother had a stroke on 1/1. It was not caused by a clot, which is a good thing, though some of the information I've seen on the internet as a result of this is more worrying (such as that these bleeds if of a certain type could easily recur and expectancy afterwards is not so good).
I've been running about doing things for her (mainly fetching and washing - hospitals don't wash your clothes) leaving little time for getting round to things I want to do for myself, such as getting back to normal after Christmas, studies (which have taken a very severe hit) and my general mood. Though everyone has been great and supportive so far, for which I give thanks, especially one person. You know who you are.
So now things are getting a little back on track. Daytime is getting longer. Work is, well, work, but it beats working on buses. And I'm getting back into the frame of mind to try to sort my shambles of a life out. I'm 35, separated and sharing a 2 bedroom flat with a friend. I don't have kids, I don't really have much to say for my life. So, time to kick some arse and get on with things. I just hope I can carry on.
On a lighter note, because of various cabling problems, I've just fitted a DIY wireless reflector to my router.
I was laughing just making it. It seems to help a little, but seems to make more noise in the signal.
