Update

So here I sit suffering from the tail end of a bout of food poisoning (which has only been since Thursday) and on the same day it starts I find out my favourite uncle died.

On past things, I've stopped my degree at a Post Graduate Diploma as the Idea I had for my dissertation was unworkable in my mind. I plan to revisit it some time soon, though unfortunately I can't go back to the University of Liverpool online.

Mum had a slight stroke on New Year's day and was in hospital for 6 weeks - and made a very speedy recovery by all accounts. The nurses & doctors were very pleased with her progress. Given the motivation, though, I'm hardly surprised. The smell of the food there made me want to throw up and I wasn't ill. She's doing OK, though the cat she got 6 months before has since gained about another body mass. Mum is on a waiting list for a bungalow as she doesn't do stairs well anymore.

Most recently, I met with Graham, Steve and Bruce, which was a fantastic time. Watching Bruce demolish three 200G lumps of beef was quite a sight. Though all of us did pig out quite a bit that night.
