I've been diagnosed, if an opinion from a dermatological nurse is a diagnosis (it's close enough for me!) with discoid eczema.

This requires for the first week (which was last week) moisturizing twice a day, showering with an emollient shower gel and applying a topical steroid cream twice a day. Then this week I'm supposed to do it once daily 3 times a week, then 2 times a week then stop.

It does seem to help, but earlier this week I noticed a much larger patch on my right leg so I have to start form scratch there..

Causes of this apparently are stress, local irritation and alcohol. Well, I've definitely had an excess of two of those. And not the middle one - though it's quite common for #3 to follow #1.

I'm wondering if I should post pics... though having images of my scabby leg on display doesn't fill me with happiness but probably will increase keyboard sales.
